A native of Los Angeles, Kenny grew up in a family with strong Bnei Akiva roots and earned his smicha and an MA in Education from Yeshiva University. He also holds a certificate in Experiential Jewish Education, where he was a member of the program’s second cohort at YU (now known as M²).
Kenny’s passion for summer camp began through his participation in Camp Stone during his summers while in college. He went on to serve as Program Director for the junior division of NCSY in New Jersey, and later became the founding Director of Moshava Malibu, where he led the camp’s launch and ultimate transition on the property where Camp Moshava Alevy now operates. Since late 2017, Kenny served as Camp Director of Sephardic Adventure Camp (SAC).
Alongside his camp leadership, Kenny has taught full time in both formal and informal educational settings, including Fuchs Mizrachi School in Cleveland and, following his aliyah, Yeshivat Hesder Lev HaTorah, where he has taught post–high school students since 2019. This combination of classroom teaching and camp leadership informs his thoughtful, practical approach to mentoring camp professionals and managing teenage staff and campers.
Kenny lives in Givot Eden with his wife Ilana and their five children.
Cindy joined Camp Dror in 2019 and serves as Administrative Director, working closely with the Camp Director to oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure that both campuses run smoothly year-round. She plays a central role in supporting the head counselors and staff, while ensuring that each camper’s experience is thoughtful, structured, and well cared for.
Throughout the year, Cindy maintains strong kesher with families and staff—serving as a primary point of contact, addressing questions, solving challenges, and helping build the trust that makes Camp Dror feel like home. She also represents Camp Dror at OU Israel gatherings and professional camp forums.
During the summer, Cindy is deeply involved in all aspects of camp life, bringing warmth, energy, and ruach to both the daily rhythm of camp and its most meaningful moments.
Cindy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Yeshiva University’s Stern College and a Master’s Degree from the Bank Street School of Education. She taught for over 25 years before making aliyah in 2015 from Bergenfield, New Jersey.
She lives in Efrat with her husband, Israel, and is the proud mother of five children.
Zahava joined Camp Dror in 2025 as Head Counselor of the Girls’ Campus, bringing with her years of experience in chinuch, leadership, and summer camp programming. After making aliyah in 2024, she is excited to continue her work in education and youth development here in Israel.
An educator at heart, Zahava has taught in schools across Israel and the U.S., where she is known for her thoughtful mentorship, dynamic presence, and her ability to truly see and understand each student. She builds meaningful relationships and creates environments where young people feel supported, challenged, and inspired.
Her camp experience is both extensive and impactful. Zahava has held chinuch and leadership roles at Camp Stone, Camp Shoshanim, Camp Mesorah, Moshava Ba’ir, and NCSY TJJ, where she mentored teens, developed engaging programming, and fostered growth-oriented, relationship-centered experiences for campers and staff alike.
With a background in Jewish education and English literature, Zahava brings warmth, clarity, creativity, and vision to the Girls’ Campus. She sets the tone for a spirited, supportive environment where each camper feels seen, valued, and empowered to grow.
Zahava lives in Efrat with her husband Dani and their three children and is dedicated to creating a Girls’ Campus environment rooted in growth, responsibility, and genuine connection.
